Scope of This Policy
This policy covers the NIOC Training Centre platform, including registration, learning, assessments, certificate issuance and verification, and support enquiries. It describes the current version of the service and applies to visitors, learners and administrators.
Use the centre’s contact form for questions and requests about your personal information in this version of the service. Contact the centre through the same route for official support details or information about its hosting arrangements.
Information We Collect
Some information comes directly from the forms you complete, while other records are created as you learn. You can browse public pages without an account. Enrolment and saved learning progress require a personal account.
| Category | Records | Purpose |
|---|---|---|
| Account | Full name, email, department and account creation date | Identify learners and provide a personal learning space |
| Sign-In | Password hash and sign-in session identifier | Authentication and access control |
| Learning | Enrolments, viewed lesson segments and completion progress | Resume lessons and provide training reports |
| Assessment and Certification | Assessment scores, outcomes and attempt dates; certificate details and verification codes | Record outcomes, determine completion and verify certificates |
| Support | The name, email, subject and message you submit | Review your enquiry or request |
| Preferences and Connection | Language, display theme and technical request information such as an IP address | Remember preferences, connect to the service and limit abnormal requests |
On smaller screens, scroll the table horizontally to view all columns.
Current forms do not require a national identity number, banking information or medical records. Do not include passwords, assessment answers or confidential operational information in support messages.
How We Use Your Information
Assessment scores and completion requirements are calculated automatically from recorded activity. The platform does not itself make employment decisions or authorise industrial operations. The current version does not include behavioural advertising or third-party marketing trackers.
- Create accounts, authenticate users and provide access appropriate to their role
- Manage enrolments, save progress and make assessments available at the appropriate stage
- Calculate assessment results, issue certificates and support authenticity checks
- Provide training reports to authorised administrators and review support messages
- Protect sign-in and limit unusual use or excessive requests
Who Can Access Your Records
Administrators do not receive readable passwords. They must use training information within their responsibilities and avoid publishing personal reports or sharing them with unrelated recipients.
- You can view your account details, enrolments, progress, results and certificates in your learning dashboard.
- Authorised administrators can review users, departments, enrolments, progress, assessment results and support messages, and prepare training reports.
- People with a verification code can check the corresponding certificate through the public verification service, as explained below.
Certificate Verification
Certificate verification does not require sign-in. Anyone with the certificate code or link can view the holder’s name, programme title, training hours, issue date, recorded score and whether the certificate is a demonstration record.
Public verification does not expose an email address, password, other enrolments or detailed account progress. Share the code only with someone you intend to receive the certificate. If a code is disclosed unintentionally or a detail is incorrect, ask support to review it; codes are not deleted or replaced automatically.
Cookies and Browser Settings
The platform uses a cookie to keep you signed in and local browser storage to remember language and appearance. These serve different purposes, and clearing them has different effects.
Blocking the sign-in cookie can prevent the dashboard and progress saving from working. Clearing browser data does not delete training records stored on the server. Always sign out when you finish on a shared device.
| Item | Purpose | Duration and Control |
|---|---|---|
| academy_session | Maintain sign-in; not directly accessible to page scripts | Up to 7 days from sign-in; signing out invalidates the current session |
| nioc-lang | Remember Persian or English | Until you change the preference or clear the site’s browser data |
| nioc-theme | Remember light or dark mode | Until you change the preference or clear the site’s browser data |
On smaller screens, scroll the table horizontally to view all columns.
Storage and Retention
Accounts, learning records and messages are stored in the platform’s hosting infrastructure. Hosting location and backup arrangements depend on the organisation’s deployment. Ask the centre for the details of the deployment you use.
Sign-in sessions are valid for up to 7 days. The current version does not automatically erase accounts, course records, assessment attempts, certificates or support messages after a fixed period. These records support learning continuity, enquiries and certificate verification.
Requests to delete or restrict records must be considered alongside training record requirements, certificate verification, unresolved disputes and any applicable legal obligations. Where backups exist, removal from them follows their retention cycle. Signing out does not delete your account or records.
Security and Your Responsibilities
Passwords are stored as hashes, sign-in sessions expire, and access to administration and private records is controlled by user role. Limits on sign-in attempts and excessive requests also help reduce misuse.
Use a unique password, keep your sign-in details private, and sign out and contact support if you notice suspicious activity. Files or screenshots sent for support should not contain other people’s information, passwords or confidential industrial details.
Your Choices and Requests
You can request access to or a copy of your records, correction of inaccurate information, review of an assessment result, or deletion or restriction of information. What can be actioned depends on your identity, the record involved and applicable requirements. These requests do not imply an instant deletion feature in the dashboard.
- Choose “Privacy and Personal Information” in the contact form.
- Provide your account email and a clear description; add a programme title or certificate code where relevant.
- Identity confirmation through a method agreed with the centre may be needed to prevent unauthorised disclosure. Never send your password.
- Your message is saved for authorised administrators to review. If a request cannot be actioned, you can ask for an explanation or a further review.
External Services and Links
A programme or article may link to an external resource or load content from another host. Your browser then connects to that host and sends the technical information needed to retrieve the content. The external service’s own policy applies when you use its website. Do not enter your platform credentials on an external page.
Updates and Contact
This page and its revision date should be reviewed when features or data-handling practices change. A new use that differs from this notice should be explained before it begins, with a separate choice or authorisation where required. Use the centre’s contact form for questions or to follow up on an earlier request.
